“Terrific Spot!!! I love to make stops here. It’s easily accessible from I-10. There is a paved road that reaches the top of this hill, right at the bottom of the cross. STARGAZERS : This area is one of the best places to stargaze and/or watch a meteor shower. There are too many lights where I live, so this is the go-to spot. If you are travelling and want a place to really stretch your legs, it’s a great spot to get out and take a short walk – you even get a great view of Kerrville. I love the smaller statues along the road, as well. The cross gives new meaning to “rest stop”. I’d highly recommend this area!!”
